I started this blog in an effort to help others who might be facing the same obstacles as I was. I am the Director of Children's Ministries at my church and I also teach a mid-week program there on Wednesday nights. I totally love it!! The kicker is I have no experience whatsoever in ministry. I found myself doing endless searches and trying to rehash other people's work.
Children's sermons are the hardest part of my job. I have to come up with something creative week after week and hope that one fraction of what I say resinates with these little sponges. The worst part - I have to do this in front of the whole church!! Yep it's terrifying. I do not like to get up in front of people I know, and now I'm doing in front of a couple hundred people a week. The thought makes my tummy hurt. There are a lot of good sites out there, but they don't always speak to me. I wind up having panic attacks because I'm lousy at memorizing. I thought if I could write and share some of my sermons, which by the way are all based on my experiences, they could inspire someone else to do the same without all the anxiety and pressure.
Everything I have on this site is either mine or I was inspired by someone else. I link everything from others on this site. Please be courteous when using it or posting it. I will only link to other sites that for the most part are free. They have been a blessing to me in my ministry and I am sure they will be to you also. Some sites are a mix of free and pay, but I promise the free stuff is totally worth the effort to check out!!
